First tour — years 1 to 4
| Year | Monthly package | In hand (70%) | Your monthly share (30%) | Government share (match) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | ₹30,000 | ₹21,000 | ₹9,000 | ₹9,000 |
| 2 | ₹33,000 | ₹23,100 | ₹9,900 | ₹9,900 |

| 4 | ₹40,000 | ₹28,000 | ₹12,000 | ₹12,000 |
About 70% is paid to you. About 30% goes to Seva Nidhi, and the government matches that share.
Second tour — years 5 and 6 (extension)
| Year | Monthly package | In hand (70%) | Your monthly share (30%) | Government share (70%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5 · 1st year of extension | ₹43,500 | ₹30,450 | ₹13,050 | ₹30,450 |
| 6 · 2nd year of extension | ₹47,500 | ₹33,250 | ₹14,250 | ₹33,250 |
On the second tour a fresh Seva Nidhi package is opened. You still put in 30%. The government’s contribution is enhanced to 70% of the monthly package. Excluding interest, that fresh package is about ₹10.92 lakh on exit (your ₹3.28 lakh + government ₹7.64 lakh), tax-free. Confirm the order with your unit.
Risk and hardship allowance, ration, and dress are extra. They depend on the posting. Read them on the pay slip, not on this page.
Leave and service rules
Leave is granted under the orders of your Service. This page does not print a leave table, because those orders can change. Ask your unit for the current entitlement.
The first engagement is four years. Eligible Agniveers may be offered a second tour of two years, making six years in all. Retention into the regular cadre follows the scheme and the unit order. Confirm every figure with your unit.
There is no pension for the Agniveer engagement. The exit amount is Seva Nidhi.
