Skill development and training

Upgrade a skill you can show. A certificate helps when it names the trade, the hours and the organisation that taught you.

Trades that travel

Driving and vehicle repair

Heavy and light vehicles, if you already hold, or can earn, the right licence.

Electrical and welding

Workshop skills with a clear safety record. Employers ask what machine you used, not just the course name.

IT support

Hardware, basic networks and office systems. Pair the certificate with something you can demonstrate.

Logistics

Stores, inventory and transport. Your service duties may already be this work. Write them in civilian words.

Disaster response

First aid, rescue and camp support. Useful for state disaster teams and large employers.

Hospitality

Cooking and housekeeping, where a service mess trade can become a civilian job.

Drone Technology

Learn how to operate drones, perform basic maintenance and use drone technology in agriculture, mapping, surveying and disaster management.

A batch is worth joining when

  • The trainer is a named institute, ITI, polytechnic or a department programme.
  • You know the hours, the fee, and whether the fee is paid to that institute.
  • The certificate will state the skill, not only “successfully participated”.
  • Nobody is selling a job at the end of the batch.
